Gift from King George III

A silver snuff box owned by the sister In Law of Margaret Nicholson who attempted to assassinate King George III. It was made by William Withers, the King’s jeweller, in 1789 and may have been a gift from the King. A unique Georgian silver snuff box of historical significance.
